It all started with a project manager chasing me through the office. Headphones on, mind firmly set on lunch, I was completely oblivious and led him all the way upstairs and outside before he finally managed to get my attention. Sadly, this wasn't a romantic declaration; he just wanted me to be in a video for a client. However, a few weeks later, he asked me to stay behind after a meeting, and suggested meeting up for a drink.

Since that day, our lives have slowly intertwined. We've been welcomed into each other's families with open arms. For me, that's meant the real joy of getting to know my two amazing future stepchildren, Molly and Percy. I really lucked out here – they've both accepted me with warmth and kindness, and I feel truly honoured to be joining their family.

We got engaged on 8th August 2023. Matt whisked me away on a surprise trip for my 40th birthday, which turned out to be a walk up Pen-y-Ghent and a night at a gorgeous hotel in Settle.

At the top of the hill (after lunch, of course) he got down on one knee.

It was perfect.
